SCARY PINK SATURDAY - HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This weekend is Halloween - so it's a Scary Pink Saturday post - a new background, header and blinkie for all you horror fans!

My inspiration: dark, lonely street (probably raining just a little). No moon. Total silence, no passers-by... just the sound of footsteps... Do you hear an echo?....

BACKGROUND

 Copy all the code below, exactly as you see it, and insert into an html box right into your sidebar or footer. This one will also work with the new Templates AND WordPress (depending on your template, of course. I know it works with WP's Bueno). This background is 880 pixels wide, so will fit standard 3-col blogs and wider 2-col blogs.
<style type="text/css">
body {background-image: url("http://i659.photobucket.com/albums/uu313/1stFloorFlatComputery/8c29da51.jpg"); background-position: center; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-attachment: fixed; }
</style>
<div id="tag" style="position:absolute; left:0px; top:50px; z-index:50; width:150px; height:30px;">

 This is too big for a side bar - I designed it to go in your footer section. If you desperately want a smaller one for your sidebar, email me and I'll resize it. Again, copy the image code (below) to install.

Scare yourselves silly with these... ghosts, ghouls, and clowns (these used to terrify me when I was a child. NOT funny... Remember 'ITl by Stephen King?)  Did you see those teeth??

pink saturday

Happy Halloween everyone...and don't forget to visit Beverly at How Sweet the Sound to see all the other wonderful Pink Saturday posts!

  7. Happy Pink Saturday and Happy Halloween! You are probably happily snoozing by now, but the holiday is tomorrow after all. Love your generous background and blinkie. Of course, I will keep hands off on my own blog. :-)

    Aren't my purses lovely? All kudos for artwork go to Angela and I must get her blogging with us.

    Miss you! I'll be leaving Vermont on the 10th arriving in California on the 20th. There will be the mad unpacking during Thanksgiving week and then things will calm down a bit.

    Hello Susie Sweetie...
    What a scary share today. I love it. I love the clown face sneaking out the side, and the look on the childrens faces. Oh my, you are such a creator of templates. I love seeing what you have to share.

    It is always fun over here. I thank you for the Halloween scare, it was delightful. I love spook houses and haven't been able to go to one for some time. You brought it to me this year. Thank you sweetie.

    Have a wonderful Halloween and be safe. Many hugs and so much love, Sherry

    Oh my...100 percent scary! I think I like "soft and fluffy" scary...LOL Gosh, and to think I used to watch all of the horror films a few decades ago..now I'm off into crime dramas which are brutal enough.

    We have many loyal Halloween bloggers that are gonna LOVE this.

    Have a wonderful PINK day,
    Stephanie ♥

    Hello darling girl and belated Halloween wishes...et al. I have a question that I hope you can help me with. Is it possible to block an anonymous commentor? I have a nut job who just wants to tell me how to live my life...I thougth I was doing pretty good on my own...but you know, some people's children. Is it possible? The Olde Bagg

  24. Linda - Hmmm this is a good one. What I'm thinking... what I'd do is this:
    1. Go to Settings > Comments and then look at the Who Can Comment section (2nd down) and click Registered Users (2nd down) which means anonymous comments cannot be accepted. If the user chooses to remain anonymous I think they possibly can - but they will have to have a registered ID somewhere.
    2. Scroll down to Comment Moderation and click Always. Also click Show Word Verification For Comments (I know it's a pain in the ass and usually not necessary if you moderate, but in this instance I think you need to do it).
    3. If you haven't already, open a Yahoo account and use THIS email address for your blog. Keep your personal address for family and friends only. Yahoo will also let you have several 'throw away' addresses (for groups etc) which means if one attracts spam, you can immediately change to another one.
    4. If this pest sends another comment, go to your Moderate Comments page rather than moderate in the notification email. You can then mark this comment as Spam, so you won't even have to read it.
    5. If the comments persist, keep them in your Spam folder and report it to Google, then let them deal with it.

    I hope this helps! I had a load of Russian and Chinese ones... which seem to have disappeared (fingers crossed) since I disallowed anonymous commenting. Let me know how you get on.

    Hugs (I really sympathise).
