SNOW QUEEN journal page

The Snow Queen journal page is finally finished! I have been messing around with this, off and on, for a few months.

The problem was that it had a seam right down the middle - with thick blue cord running through her face. I finally tore the page out and glued it on top of the cord.

I also cut out the figure on either side, and mounted the hands on stacked pieces of card to add shadow and dimension.

Finally, I punched out a lot of snowflakes (and now realise I could have done with a few different sizes and shapes, but you have to go with what you have....).

Last of all, glitter!

How I did the page:
I used several
stencils and dye sprays (Dylusions, Tattered Angels), allowed to dry naturally (which makes the colours more intense). I drew over these, as the shapes suggested the figure, and added details and lettering with acrylics and Posca Paint pens.

Hope you like it!
