This week's post is a difficult one for me - I haven't had time to put our decorations up yet! And last year's photos were a disaster, really.

So here are some sweet nostalgic images I found on the web. My favourite decorations are strings of lights (we usually have around 5 sets on the tree - 5ft, artifical as I felt so guilty the last time we had a real one, I never bought a real tree again).

And the immortal Judy Garland...

I've also made some new seasonal freebie backgrounds on Blog-ology , if anyone would like to use them:

Now go to Beverly's site - How Sweet the Sound - to see the rest of the Pink Saturday post and read all about their Christmas memories.

  1. Oh Susie, I haven't put up the first Christmas decoration! We don't have young children at home and the grands won't be visiting here this season. That is a real bummer when it comes to decorating. It becomes a chore for me when there will be no little ones around to marvel at everything. I'm getting my decoration fix by visiting tons of blogs with gorgeous images and gadgets :-) Have a great weekend my friend *XOXO*

  2. Oh, I am so sorry you had a hard time! Wow I JUST got my tree decorated! I thought I was the last one. hehehe
I usually have it up last weekend in Nov.! Love your pics!!
    Hugs, Lisa

  3. It's taken me a while to get my decorations up this year, and I'm still not quite through. Don't know why I've been so sluggish.

  4. what a delight your blog page is, I hadn't seen all the changes til just now and WOW, fun, fun, fun, Happy Pink, Heidi

I love that first one. It reminds me of my mother! :-)

    Happy Pink Saturday, Susie!

P.S. The snow seems to be slowing your blog to a crawl. It has done it to several blogs this season. Someone figured that was the culprit.

Oh, Susie, I am trying so hard to get my decorating done. It is slowly coming together! I absolutely love the stretch minima background. I may use it since I haven't been out in the cold to take village pictures for the header and I am after only a couple of months sick of my blog again, probably because I have so much else to do!

You are a sweetie to offer these. I hope you have time to savor Christmas decorations in the city. I do so envy you.

  7. We don't need elaborate decorations or a big tree or numerous gifts under a tree. All any of us needs is to carry the spirit of Christmas in our hearts and to share it all year long with everyone we meet.

Thank you so much for sharing your blog with me today. Yes, I'm crazy about ♥PINK♥ but I'm also devoted to visiting some of the nicest blogs in cyberspace.

Hoping your weekend is filled with peace.

  8. I love the cards you found to share with us today, but I especially appreciated hearing Judy Garland. You have a beautiful blog. I'll be back often. Have a great Pink Saturday.
