This egg looks phenomenal... shame I won't be getting it... (it's ONLY $50.00 plus delivery...)
Filled egg from Hotel Chocolat

I think my husband will be buying me something a little more modest (and less fattening) and maybe dark chocolate...

Happy Easter and Pink Saturday Susie...
I love your post today. Oh my gosh can you imagine spending $50.00 on a chocolate egg? It sure does look good, but I don't think I could take enough insulin to counter react the results of that thing. Lordy that is a piece of calories.

The Ukrainian eggs look the best. How beautiful they are.

Susie, I just loved the little bunny playing the horn to the little musical egg. Just precious.

Have a beautiful Easter to you and your family. Country hugs sweetie and so much love...Sherry

  14. Hi Susie, I love all the images for Pink Saturday! I have a question for you since you're so tech savvy and share so sweetly with us, how do you remove the black outlines that appear around your blog photos so they seem to float on the page as yours do in this posting? I'm not sure if you've shared this before, but I've never noticed, so I thought I'd ask! Happy PS! Suzie

  15. Yes, Violetta is a creative genius, I wish her much luck. And you? You figured out how to do all this new google stuff. I'm amazed. I shall read through it all. And, I've found using Picasa to upload to blogger gives me only 3 pics max. Can't add more either as they would go to a new blog post. Very nice to meet you. xx's Marsha

    SPLENDEROSA:
I was determined to look into the new stuff, if only to see whether it made all my blog backgrounds redundant! Purely selfish, really.

I HATE that I can't upload direct from my computer - no idea why they'd make it like that, unless (being very paranoid) it's to MAKE you use Picasa, then over 1mg of storage you have to pay for more storage. Otherwise, looking at the complexity of the templates with so much more variation allowed, I'd say it's to do with bandwidth. So pictures hosted externally on another site (Picasa, Flickr, PicniK, Photobucket etc) don't use Blogger's own bandwidth.

Photobucket works perfectly with the new picture uploader (the picture in the tutorial is off my photobucket site) and it's free up to 8mg storage capacity. Then if you go Pro, unlimited storage for under $20 per year, which seems a pretty good deal to me (hence I have all my backgrounds in there as every person who downloads a background or header does use a little bandwidth).

Of course, if you have more than one email address you can open more than one photobucket account... http://photobucket.com/

Apart from the picture issue, this seems a pretty good thing that Blogger have done. I personally am not happy in that I have hundreds, if not thousands, of images that I work with, and having to upload every one to an external account would drive me into an early grave I think. But otherwise, the choice of customisation looks very good.

Needless to say, given a little more time, I shall be seeing if I can get into the html...

You were asking me how I enlarged my pictures on my site. I don't use blog spot. I use I web on my Mac. It lets me take my photos off of Iphoto and do whatever I want with them. Hope you are having a great Easter Weekend. Mine has been getting ready for a big dinner tonight so I will have to visit more Pink Saturdays as the week goes on. At least I get tomorrow off work!! YAY! Happy Easter Sherri : )
