Parisian Couture
I used an 8x8 Kraft card, and stamped all round the edge with the trio of roses from the Vintage Chic plate, using Versamark to create a watermark effect.
Scissors and Bows
I cut an 8x8 Kraft card in half to form a panel, and stencilled the Les Ciseaux stencil on top using Structure Paste and a palette knife. I cut a 6x6 piece of white card, positioned it over the top, and marked where the edges of the image would meet.
First, I spritzed Mixed Media Ink Sprays in Orange,Yellow,Fuchsia and Green, and a little touch of White to lighten. I stamped the dress form and From The Art Studio in black Distress Ink, blending with a baby wipe to fade it a little. Next, I positioned the stencil where I'd made the markings, then stencilled the image with Structure Paste as before. Once dry, a black pen created a nice edge, then I mounted this to the Kraft card.
I cut two pieces 8.5x10 dark navy card, scoring about an inch away from the side to create a fold on one piece, placed them back to back, and added a little glue to keep those side edges together. I then used a hand-held punch to punch holes in groups of two down the side.
Next, I mounted the Kraft piece using double-sided tape, before threading through some white tapes through the holes at the side, tying them in knots to fix, creating a bit of interest while keeping to the dressmaking theme.
Final touches: some vintage buttons, glued down with Magi Bond (dries clear) and drew a wobbly line round the edge of the Kraft card with a fine liner pen.
Le Bicylette tag
This was a quickie tag: a giant Kraft tag as the base, stencilled with the French Damask stencil and Dorla Perla Relief Paste, and a piece of torn white card stencilled with more Dora Perla Relief Paste, which I mounted on top.
Next, a piece of torn cardboard packaging with Structure Paste spread all over it. I drew into the paste with a palette knife to simulate wood and painted with Starlights paint in Sky Blue, darkened down with a little black gesso.
he tickets were stamped and embossed in black, onto white card, and tinted with Mixed Media Ink Sprays in Yellow, Blue and Fuchsia, diluted to pastel with some White.
The bicycle, Paris logo and street lamp are all Magi Kutz, from the Vintage French and French Street sets, using Starlights in Bright Gold and black.
