About me

A little bit about me...

Here's the potted bio:

I'm a mixed media artist, journaller and book binder. Also fascinated with all things digital, I also design papers, printables etc for download.

I've always loved art - I remember that I drew before I could read and write, and my mother assured me that I could draw before I could walk or talk (none too sure about that one!) although I do remember her teaching me how to embroider (very wobbly satin stitch) when I was around 5. My grandmothers taught me to knit and crochet (although I never really got along with knitting).

After art college, there were lots of temorary office jobs, then I ran a small antique stall at London's Portobello Road Market at the weekend, selling vintage jewellery. This led to me owning my own company, designing and making jewellery and hair accessories.

This led me back to my fashion roots, designing and selling outfits at craft fairs. I then introduced some handmade cards and paintings... and full circle... back to paper arts and bookbinding etc.

I wrote the monthly Workshop articles for over two years for Craft Stamper magazine, and have contributed to several UK magazines, including Craft Stamper, Simply Stamping, Crafts Beautiful and Practical Crafts. I also taught art stamping, journaling and bookbinding at Rainbow Silks and BladeRubber Stamps for 20 years.

I've been on the Design Teams for Colouricious, Imagination Crafts, Polkadoodles and Studio Light, with a lot of my work shown on craft TV.

I now design and make books, albums, junk journals and ephemera, as well as online tutorials and downloadable digital kits, via my Etsy shop.
